Sort on Date..

Can the sorting be done on DATE. I have a date column in my grid which is in DD-MM-YYYY format. As the sorting is on string based Is it possible to sort the column on Date.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

can you put in format yyyy-mm-dd...then formatting is automatic

I have the same problem - how to sort a date that is not in the format yyyy-mm-dd? The solution described here: http://www.activewidgets.com/javascript.forum.1025.17/sorting-dates.html is not working in my grid version2. I would appreciate any help.
