Column head height?

I read some other messages on this forum regarding lack of a two-line column header, but just to be certain: is there a way to set the header height? Sure would be nice if the header expanded vertically to accept the text (e.g. my columns need to be "Thu<br>2004-03-11", "Fri<br>2004-03-12", etc.). Any way I could fix this?? Thanks!

CSS for two line header:
