table disappear when i give linefeed

Hi,
When i give line feed(carriage return) ,the table is getting disappeared.How to solve this?
In my application i have one description field.Here user can enter data, and i am diplaying this user enterd description in the table as one of columns.But if the user enters carriage return ,and if i sdisplay that description in the table, this table is getting disappeared.Is this a bug?
