IE8 onCellValidated truncates 2nd char - 2.5.5

Entering 2 byte input on IE8 causes the 2nd byte to truncate e.g. '.5' gives '.'

This happens on event onCellValidated. Works on any other length.
Setting IE7 compatibility makes no difference.

Alex, we could really use a workaround or a fix for this, thanks!

I can reproduce it and I am working on a proper fix for this issue. However setting IE7 compatibility removes the issue for me - I can only reproduce this in IE8 'standards' mode, not in IE7 or quirks modes.

Can you please show how you set IE7 compatibility? It didn't work for me (We are using xhtml) if that makes any difference.
