Quirks and strict mode

Hello (I guess this question is mainly for Alex ;-),
At the moment all the pages using ActiveWidgets are in strict mode and it works fine (I use only the grid). I would like now to pass all the other pages in strict mode as well. But I read on this forum that for some functionalities, it was required to be in quirks mode. Before passing all my site in strict mode (I have to redo the page setting), I would like then to be sure that I won't be in trouble the day I'll install a new version of ActiveWidgets.
Thanks in advance for your help!

All current ActiveWidgets features are supported equally in both quirks and standards-compliant modes.

If you are switching to the standards-compliant mode I would recommend looking very carefully into IE8 beta and the differences with the previous IE versions.

Please note that AW 2.5.2 currently does not work in IE8 beta1 in 'new' standards-compliant mode, however IE7-compatible or quirks mode is fine. There will be a new AW release after the final version of IE8 is available.

Dear Alex,
Thanks for you reply!
I installed IE8 beta 2. Except the AW grid was not fully displayed on time, it seems to already work pretty well.
By the way, I noticed, still with IE7, that the grid is bigger than the page when we set the width to 100%. It is not the case with Firefox. Probably that you are already aware of this.
Best regards

This is not a bug - this is how box sizing works in 'standards-compliant' mode. The 100% width is applied to the element content (actual width minus border and padding).
