IE7 RC1; 'ClearType'

After testing with IE7 beta 3 I downloaded IE7 RC1.

I noticed 1 maior issue with activewidgets (my App. with 1.0 but also 2.0: activewidgets.com):

'ClearType' is not working on all grids.

On the aw-homepage ClearType on the grid is OK, but on the 'Products'-page; ClearType on the grid isn't enabled.

Why?

I think that the problem with ClearType is related to the voodoo 'filter:none' css which was added in 2.0 as a fix for the corrupted screen image on high resolution displays.

I need more testing to verify if the original problem had been fixed in IE7. If it is then removing filter:none rule from .aw-system-control (source/styles/common/system.css) fixes ClearType issue.

In IE7 RC1 the 'ClearType' behaviour is different on all elements with a 'filter' and this behaviour differs from the 3 betas.
A lot of people are complaining in forums. Even the MSN site seems to look ugly widthout ClearType in IE7 RC1.

Eric: today I installed the official release of Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. The screen image on high resolution displays is corrupted without filter:none and unfortunately MS did not change the ClearType with filters.
