Macintosh problems?
Hi Folks,
Am new to this forum but I purchased the product a while back and have sucessfully integrated it into several projects - a huge time saver and clients love the look.
However, I am having an issue with a Macintosh client (using IE 5 for Mac) that the grid is not displaying. Are there any known issues regarding Mac platforms that I should be aware of?
TIA,
Roger D.

IE 5 for Mac is too old! Not to mention SSL on it is broke for a lot of 128 bit certificates. I recommend Firefox as Safari is just as horrible as IE for Mac.
Supported browsers are as follows.
* Internet Explorer 5.5
* Netscape 7.1
* Mozilla 1.4
* Firebird 0.6

Is that the official word? Sorry Tony, again I am new on this particular forum.
Thanks,

Yes. I don't think IE for Mac will ever be supported, many reason being that development for IE on Mac is discontinued. Although, when the professional version comes out Opera and Safari are supposed to be supported.
Here is the supported browsers as per ActiveWidgets

Also, you say IE 5.5. I cannot find any IE 5.5 for a Mac. Apparently the latest version is 5.2.3 - and that one doesn't seem to work either.
Any help there?

Ooops. Your last post wasn't there when I posted.
See your list now. Thanks for the help.

Sorry, no IE for Mac :-)
Tony is correct, version 1 is supported on IE 5.5+ and flavors of Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape (including Camino on Mac).
Version 2 will have standard edition (same platforms as version 1) and professional edition. The 2.0 professional edition will work on Safari and will support both 'quirks' and 'standards-compliant' rendering, which is required for Safari. Opera 9 will be supported in 2.1

Any ETA for 2.0? And if so, what cost? I have a commercial license for 1.0 if that matters.
Any chance on getting a beta? I am quite proficient at working things out and recording bugs etc. I have been in the developer world for over 20 years now - the first 9 on Mac's if that increases my chances any.

Roger,
There is a link on the main page here to download the latest beta. You can also get it from the parallel community site www.FriendsOfAW.com and you can also post larger code samples there and even get your code demoed for all to see (send the code to me and I'll add it to the demo page, there are links all through the Forums to PM me there to send the code). From the top of any page there is a link to "Buy" where you can see the current pricing structure and upgrade structure.
