Editing only certain Columns?

Anyone know how to edit only certain columns in v2?

for example, a grid with 3 columns, but only allow the user to edit column 2?

Also, with a fixed inputbox, anyone else finding you can only type in 1 character at a time before it looses focus?

Yes, I am also experiencing the "1 character at a time" in fixed input box. I'm afraid I don't have the solution yet.
