is it possible to write functio on onclick event of checkbox

Hi everybody,

I am trying to implement grid in an existing application where color of entire row changes when user user clicks on checkbox. Also, I want to add a checkbox in header with functionality check all and clear all. Is it possible? I tried to refer few links posted on this forum, but of no use.
