Row background color problem after programatically setting the background

I found that there is a problem with the background color assigned to the rows if the setStyle(...) function is used to programatically set a rows background. The problem surfaces when a sort is done after the background color is set.

When a sort is done after the background color is set then ALL of the rows become the same color (the color that was set) even though code is in place to display alternate colors.
