3.2.0

ActiveWidgets 3.0 is back!

The next major release of ActiiveWidgets is finally here! It took a lot of time and several failed attempts however this new version is now build on the right platform and I hope will be a very successful project.

The main change is that ActiveWidgets no longer includes its own rendering engine - it now relies on the host framework to render the components and it supports all popular frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) as well as simple jQuery and pure javascript (no framework) environments plus standards-based HTML5 CustomElements API.

The datagrid is also completely new - using GPU-accelerated CSS transforms for fully virtualized scrolling, templates (or JSX) to customize every part of the datagrid, client-side or server-side operations, modular structure - in short this is a modern datagrid using all the technological advances of the modern browsers.

While the technical platform is complete, not all the functionality is there in the initial 3.0.0 release. There is a lot more coming in the following weeks, so stay tuned :-)
