Sorting of Icons

Thanx first of all thanks for your help and ur guidance for my questions. I have one more querry can u help me out abt sorting of the icons

The grid sorts rows according to the values in the cell value property. You should make a function which returns some sortable values and assign it to the cell value property of the image column.

Thanx alex for ur help but added to this i have a small querry. If we have a column containing both the images and document type(.i.e., image follwed by extension and type of document) could it be possible for us to do the sorting such that image containing docs appear at one place(internally these should be sorted based on the extension type) and document type at one place?
