Loading... status message in virtual mode?

In virtual mode, is there any way to have rows have a default "Loading..." message before the rows are loaded up from the data?. My product manager hates that the screen goes blank for a second while scrolling and would like to see some sort of message to let the user know that the rows are coming. (I personally think it's fine, but that's another matter.)

This is a good request. I can see hiding a "Loading Rows" message in the header template of the report and displaying it when loading the records while scrolling. I think there is an event that captures the scroll? Have to check that in the quickref.

Also, can we control the number of records that are brought in per scroll??
