Please temme how to add datasource for grid

Hi,

Look I have 2 create a simple application in which i need to display,adit,and add. so please tell me how to retrieve from text file,( i mean server side) so that i can edit it also delete it also.
however example is there but how 2 do step wise is nt there.
m new to place so pls do help me asap.
