XML

For a lack of a better word and a chance of sounding stupid. I am new to XML. i read most of the posts, but i am not sure how i would get my data from an xml file, then call it into the grid. I think i read the post that had the code to call it. i guess what i am asking is instead of the var myData =[] this would be where the script calls the XML or is it in addition. I would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom. Thanx
