Scrollbars Object

In version 1, how do I gain access to the scrollbars object? I want something like...

var scrollbars = gridasGridObj.getObject("scrollbars").element();

But of coarse that doesn't work.

You know what, forget I asked that. I thought that this wasn't working, but it was. 1D10T on my part...

var scrollbars = gridasGridObj.getTemplate("layout").getContent("scrollbars");
