Opposite of raiseEvent("editCurrentCell")?

What is the opposite of raiseEvent("editCurrentCell")?

If a user double clicks on a cell whilst in edit mode I want it to return to normal. I've tried raiseEvent("", event, col, row), this.setSelectedRows([]) but the flashing text cursor remains in the cell!
