How can I insert a blank row into an updateableGrid in active widgets

has anyone got a solution...........

i have retrived data from database and in the GUI part i want to categorize the data based on a condition. if condition satisfies then a blank row has to be displayed along with the data onto the grid.this blank row acts like a seperator.
anyone knows how to add a blank row to the grid??????
